Amateur golfers at all ages are welcome to compete in the Sacramento City Putting Championship during the Haggin Oaks Golf Expo this April 26, 27, and 28, 2019.
The best putters in the Greater Sacramento area have competed for the title of “City Putting Champion,” including PGA Tour Winner, Bill Glasson. The winner in each flight will receive a Cleveland Golf RTX4 wedge ($140 value).
Eligibility, Date & Location
The 61st Annual Sacramento City Putting Championship is open to amateur golfers of all ages and will be held on the MacKenzie Practice Putting Green during the 3-day Haggin Golf Expo – April 26, 27 and 28, 2019. The Haggin Oaks Golf Expo is located at 3645 Fulton Avenue in Sacramento, CA.
Registration Process & Entry Fee
Each participant will go to the registration tent located near the practice putting green to register. A player will have successfully registered for the City Putting Championship by filling out the registration form and paying the $5 qualifying fee.
Format
The City Putting Championship finals will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019. To play in the finals, golfers will need to qualify in advance on Friday, April 26 or Saturday, April 27 from 9 am to 5 pm. The top 16 players in each flight will qualify for the finals.
Qualifying Format will be 18-hole stroke play. Players may play multiple qualifying rounds. Each round will require the $5 entry fee.
Finals Format will be 18-hole match play. Seeding will be based on their qualifying scores. Matches finishing in a tie will proceed back to the 1st hole in a sudden victory format.
