87th Sacramento Women’s City Championship- Congratulations to winners: Samantha Bruce, Karen Graser & Vicki Philpott

The 87th annual Sacramento City Women’s Golf Championship was played at Bing Maloney Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26, 2022 and was hosted by the Sacramento Golf Council.

The tournament is open to all women amateur golfers with an established handicap index of 34.3 or less. Higher indexes are eligible but will be adjusted to 34.3. The June 15, 2022 GHIN was used to determine eligibility and handicap.

Tournament Results

Championship Flight: Samantha Bruce (1st Place), Zoe Offleld (2nd Place), Petra Yee (T-3rd Place), Skyler May (T-3rd Place)

Directors Flight: Karen Graser (1st Place), Esther Garcia (2nd Place), Karen Zamarripa (3rd Place)

Presidents Flight: Vicki Philpott (1st Place), Pam Katros (2nd Place), Marcia Whiting (3rd Place)

The Championship flight was played at scratch.  Confirmation of equivalent ability may be submitted in lieu of a GHIN to establish eligibility for the Championship Flight only. The tournament format was stroke play over 36 holes – 18 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. The Handicap (net) Division played from the red tees at par 72 at around 5200 yards and the Championship Division played at par 73 at around 6000 yards. The Championship Flight played after the handicap flights each day.
