Yesterday’s good mood was sponsored by pancakes.
Let them eat pancakes. And so they did during Easter at Haggin Oaks in Sacramento, CA. Old and young alike convened in the dining area of the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. Armed with forks and paper plates, to participate in what many would call the Easter pancake feast of the year. After all, with 1,300 pancakes served, it is an event in and of itself. The pancakes, however, fuel the main event; “the hunt.”
Spending Easter With My Peeps
Before Rumble in the Jungle, Ironman Triathlon, The Stanley Cup, or the Indianapolis 500, there is always a photo op to kick things off. Before the rush of adrenaline and the chanting of the crowds, the athletes always take a picture to commemorate the big event. Yesterday was no different, except for the cuteness overload that is a toddler meeting the Easter Bunny for the first time or the unexpected group hug, as seen above. A few parents could not resist, and we don’t blame them; the Easter Bunny rocks!
“It’s Easter at Haggin Oaks, color me hoppy!”
Were they laying the blueprint for the scavenger hunt? Some of these great masterpieces scaled the roundabout near the cart barn. The creativity was remarkable, and each kid put their mark out there. The sidewalk chalk was a great job done by everyone.

All the eggs have been found, so I guess you could say, ‘That’s all, yolks.’
Many had a strategy to find over 6,000 eggs. “When they say go, I’m going to leap over the yellow ribbon,” “I’m going straight for the middle,” and “Oh, there’s one right there” were just a few contemplations from extra excited kids right before the Easter egg hunt. Whole families lined up around the yellow caution tape, waiting for the opportunity. When it was time to go, the kids went for broke, and the parents cheered them on from the sidelines. It was a good time had by all.
