From Device Brewing Company to New Glory Craft Brewery, MacKenzie’s Sports Bar & Grille at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex has some of the best beer on tap Sacramento.
Whether you want to dine-in at the MacKenzie Sports Bar & Grille or love taking in a great view of the golf course, you’ll be happy to know that we have several of Sacramento’s favorite locally brewed beers on tap in the restaurant.
First up on our beer menu is Device Brewing Company. We couldn’t be more proud to carry their Made In Sac West Coast IPA. This beer is Made with Simcoe, Amarillo, and Citra (This is where the wordplay “SAC” originates from). Bright flavors of ripe oranges, apricots, and melon with an aroma that’ll wake your pallet up and give you a super clean, refreshing, drinkable, and CLEAR change from all the hazies out there. You’ll find people from all over the Sacramento area enjoying this drink all year long. Next up on top 5 list of breweries is New Glory Craft Brewery. They have two Taprooms. One of their locations is in Sacramento and the other is in Granite Bay. What makes this brewery so unique? For starters, they have a chewy pale ale named Gummy Worms. This American Pale Ale chock-full of “juicy” Pacific Northwest Hops and “chewy” wheat malt and fermented with our expressive ale yeast. Packaged in its purest form, unfined and unfiltered. If you haven’t tried this beer yet, you are definitely missing out! We keep this drink on tap and have it in cans if you prefer to show off this awesome an. We’ve included a picture of the can below to heighten your curiosity. Third on our list is Knee Deep Brewing. Although they are not based directly in Sacramento, our neighbors in Auburn are well known SacTown for a reason! We’re proud to carry Breaking Bud Beer. This is a true West Coast IPA. A restrained malt profile of American 2-row, German wheat and a touch of English crystal give the beer its golden straw color and allows the hops to shine. Mosaic, Simcoe, and Columbus hops provide dank aromas and flavors of tropical fruit and pine leading to a refreshingly dry finish.
With a name like Bike Dog Brewing company, you must have an awesome story behind it. Their story goes something like this. Four friends and co-workers turned their shared passion for bikes, dogs and brewing into one of the most redundantly named craft breweries in the world. At Bike Dog, they are serious about beer, but not about themselves. The Moto at Bike Dog is Good people deserve good beer. So come try a San Dog IPA – a classic West-Coast IPA that is super crisp with assertive bitterness and a well-balanced dryness that you’ll find refreshing.
We’re excited to also serve beer from King Cong Brewing Co. They are based in old north Sacramento and are genuinely passionate about being a great source of entertainment for the community. We have their Džungle Pilsner. It is light, crisp, and refreshing which makes it perfect for a day at the golf course. If you’re interested in exploring more of their drinks, they are not too far away from the Haggin Oaks Golf Course.
By now we’re sure you have heard of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. They are well-known for shaking things up in the 1980s when they helped spearhead the beer revolution that in full force today.
