Charlotte Mayorkas, a standout in the illustrious history of UCLA women’s golf, is set to join an elite group of athletes as she receives the honor of induction into the WGCA Players Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for December 4, 2023, at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
WGCA Induction
Mayorkas’ impending induction places her in esteemed company, as she becomes the fifth Bruin to earn this distinction from the WGCA. Notably, she is the third UCLA member to be enshrined in the Players Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of Janet Coles (Players Class of 1988), Jackie Tobian-Steinmann (Coaches Class of 1989), Kay Cockerill (Players Class of 1996), and Carrie Forsyth (Coaches Class of 2011).
Record-Breaking Achievements
As Mayorkas’ career progressed, she etched her name into the record books of UCLA women’s golf. She currently holds the second position in program history for career top-10 finishes, boasting an impressive 24 top-10 placements. Additionally, she ranks fifth in career tournament wins, with five victories to her name.
Professional Success
After graduating from UCLA, Charlotte Mayorkas transitioned to the professional circuit, where she continued to make waves. She clinched two Duramed Futures Tour titles, a testament to her unwavering commitment and skill. During her illustrious career on the LPGA Tour, Mayorkas made an incredible 54 out of 67 cuts, showcasing her remarkable consistency and ability to compete at the highest level.
