All-new F7 family includes a collection of fairway woods & hybrids that utilize Cobra’s Baffler Technology for improved turf interaction
Cobra Golf, a leader in golf club innovation and design, today introduced its new collection of F7 fairways and hybrids. The F7 fairway and hybrid family utilizes COBRA’s iconic Baffler Rail System, first introduced in the brand’s original Baffler woods more than 40 years ago, blended with today’s front-to-back weighting systems for the perfect combination of personalization, distance, control and forgiveness from any lie.

These same tour-proven technologies will provide all golfers with the perfect blend of distance and control.”
The F7 Fairways (MAP $239 – 3-4F, 5-6F and 7-8F) feature progressive rail heights that are strategically engineered to be shallower in the 3-4 woods and progressively thicker as you move into the 7-8 to deliver easy-up distance and consistency from every lie. The front of the rails improve turf forgiveness while the back of the rails help the club glide out of the turf more smoothly.
The F7 Fairways come equipped with two Center of Gravity (CG) positions and 20-gram and 3-gram moveable weights that can be positioned in the front or the back to deliver either a penetrating or towering trajectory, depending on player preference and varying course conditions.
To maximize distance and ball speed, COBRA Golf engineers used a thinner, high-strength, forged 475 stainless steel face insert along with a 17-4 stainless steel body, which creates discretionary weight and allows for greater CG adjustability. MyFly8 delivers eight loft positions (loft ranges are listed below) to fine-tune players’ long games. Available Jan 13, 2017 in black/orange, silver/yellow and blue/red colorways in RH/LH, the F7 Fairways come equipped with a graphite Fujikura Pro 65 shaft and Lamkin REL-Black grip.
KING LTD Black Fairway (MAP $299) features the same, revolutionary SpacePort design seen in the KING LTD Drivers, a multi-purpose structure that strategically positions discretionary weight low in the club head for ultimate distance. An added bonus – by removing the port, golfers can visually access the COBRA technologies on the interior of the club. The crown is made of a multi-material TeXtreme Carbon Fiber which is 20% lighter than a standard carbon fiber crown. The weight saved can then be distributed lower to deliver Zero CG in a fairway for high-launch, low-spin and maximum speed for more distance. The Speed Channel Face, an engineered trench around the perimeter of the face, creates a thinner, more unsupported face for increased distance and faster ball speeds on off-center hits. MyFly8 with SmartPad allows for eight adjustable loft settings (loft range listed below). The LTD Fairways (3-4 and 4-5) are available in RH only in a new, stunning matte black finish. Available November 18, 2016, these fairways come equipped with a graphite Aldila Rogue Black 70g shaft and Lamkin UTX 360 grip.
Rounding out the metalwood collection are the KING F7 Hybrids (MAP $199), which also feature COBRA’s Baffler Dual Rail design for improved turf reaction and consistency from every lie. Each club (2-3H, 3-4H and 4-5H) features a fixed back CG (13-gram) to deliver high MOI and a more centered CG for more forgiveness and precision shot-after -shot. The new hybrid touts a thin 455 SS face for maximum ball speed. The hybrids also feature COBRA’s MyFly8 and come in black with orange highlights with a graphite Fujikura Pro 75h shaft and Lamkin REL-Black grip. Available January 13, 2017.
WOMEN’S: The women’s F7 Fairways (MAP $239 – 3-4F, 5-6F, 7-8F) also come equipped with Baffler rail technology, two front/back CG positions and MyFly8. They come in two colorways: silver with raspberry and black with Lexi blue; and graphite Fujikura Pro 55 and COBRA Lamkin REL grips. KING F7 Ladies Hybrids (MAP: $199 – 3-4H, 4-5H, 5-6H) feature rails along with a single fixed weight (8.5g) positioned low and back to deliver a high towering ball flight for extreme distance and forgiveness.
