Despite being behind by four strokes as he started the back nine, Bling managed to work his way to a win with a few critical shots and expertly played golf.
As he rounded his way to the back nine here at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, Bling knew that he had to make some key shots to be able to pull away with a win.
He did just that.
Bling went on to birdie holes 10, 11, and 12 to get himself neck and neck the front runner, Cliff, and then stayed with him from there. Even managing to stick with him through a mishit into a bunker on the 18th hole!
From there, Bling and Cliff went into sudden death each at 14 under par. Both golfers played the last hole exceptionally well, however, thanks to an incredible read of the green, Bling managed to eagle the hole to win the tournament.
It was a hard-fought battle all the way to the end and we want to congratulate Devon Bling for both his win this weekend and his defense of the title.
We look forward to seeing him and all of the other incredible golfers that come out to play at the California State Fair Championship next year!
