At the age of 101, Doris C. Yates passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband Murray. They both enjoyed playing golf together and making special trips doing just that. Doris is survived by her daughter Linda Rowland and her husband John of Sacramento, and her daughter Sherril Matson and her husband Steve of San Anselmo, also her five grandchildren Jennifer, Jill, John, Ryan, and Daniel, as well as her ten great-grandchildren.
Doris was a dear friend of the Morton family. She was an active member of the women’s home clubs at Haggin Oaks for nearly 70 years and played in them until she was nearly 100 years old. Whenever asked about her secret to her long life she would say “exercise and a positive attitude”. No services will be held.
