The Drainage Project is Complete at Bing Maloney

Flooding not an issue in 2018 at the Bing Maloney Golf Course

The winter of 2017 brought about unexpected course closures with old drainage pipes that weren’t able to move the water fast enough off the golf course. This summer, we have prepared for the possibility of another wet winter by replacing the drainage pipe that runs along most of the front 9 of the Championship 18 Golf Course.

This coming winter, we will get the rain and ground water off the course faster than ever before. An 18” pipe has been installed that will transfer water from the golf course and out to the pump on hole #5 to remove it from the course. We don’t anticipate experiencing flooding or course closures in 2018 and beyond.

The pipe was installed across holes 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8. It basically traversed the entire front nine of the Championship 18 Golf Course at Bing Maloney and went through the areas that had the hardest impact from the rains in the winter of 2017. If you played golf at the facility in September, then you may have noticed the recent construction. The project is now complete and will be seeded over the course of the next few weeks to further enhance your playing experience.

Thank you to all of our valued customers that have supported us as we continue to improve the conditions and overall experience for you at Bing Maloney.
