Please welcome Zac Bates as the newest William Land Golf Course staff member.
Zac has been hired as Lead Cook / Assistant Manager and is excited as he joins the team.
Before coming to William Land Golf Course Zac moved from Santa Cruz where he was a Chef and Kitchen Manager. Zac brings his experience and talent as they continue to enhance Mulligan’s Café.
Zac was introduced to golf when he was a toddler when his dad took him under his wing to learn the game. On Saturday’s, he and his dad would putt around at the golf course and the best part was stopping for a treat on the way home.
When Zac is not working at Mulligan’s Café he can be seen on the course. Zac has always been involved in sports. When Zac was in his youth and also in college baseball was his favorite sport.
Zac is also a hiker and is proud of his accomplishment of hiking Half Dome Summit in Yosemite Valley in Yosemite National Park. He accomplished this in only a half day for the round-trip hike.
His hobbies and interests on his days off are working out and cooking for his family. He and his girlfriend have two dogs that enjoy the wonderful food that Zac cooks for them. Sam is a 6-year-old beagle poodle and Jolene is a 3-year-old mixed breed.
They live in the William Land Park area and are enjoying being part of the neighborhood.
