Murray Salisbury has been with Morton Golf LLC at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex for over 7 years.
When Murray first came to Morton Golf he was a Volunteer Tournament Ambassador and soon moved into a full-time position at Haggin Oaks as the Tournament Coordinator. Since he has been in that position his duties have changed several times as he has continued to take on more responsibilities, finally taking over the Tournament Director and Pro Shop Manager position.
Murray stated “I want to thank all the staff for helping me become better at my job, I have learned a lot from all of you. I would also like to thank all the event tournament directors I have worked with. You have trusted me with your vision on how an event should go, and I appreciate that trust.”
In the past few years, Murray and his wife, Holly’s daughter married and moved to Oregon to start a family. Last year Murray and Holly became Grandparents to a handsome baby boy named Jamie Murray Parsons. Since their visit, Murray and Holly have decided to make Oregon and Jamie a more significant part of their daily lives. They will be moving this month and have already purchased a new home close to their daughter and her family. Now Murray and Holly can be on hand to help with daycare and watching Jamie grow.
Soleil Gutchess has worked with Murray for the past year and a half, has absorbed Murray’s talents along the way, and expanded Murray’s talents. Soleil has agreed to be the new Tournament Director following in Murray’s footsteps. Soleil will continue doing the wonderful job that Murray started and take tournaments to a new level.
We wish Murray and Holly Salisbury good luck as they continue enjoying family and showing us all what is the most important item in their lives.
