First Tee – Greater Sacramento Junior Golfer Hannah Stouder Paired With Mark O’Meara at PURE Insurance Championship

A few weeks ago, Mark O’Meara retired from professional golf.

A 16-time winner on the PGA Tour, the 67-year-old O’Meara played his final tournament at Pebble Beach where he was paired with Stouder for two rounds.

That tournament pairs players on the PGA Tour Champions with junior players from First Tee. Hannah Stouder, as a representative of First Tee – Greater Sacramento, was a participant. When she arrived at the course, she learned she had been randomly chosen to play with Mark O’Meara.

“Mark was the nicest person all week. He’d give me reads on putts, would help me with every single shot. It was amazing,” smiled Stouder. “He’s a lot more famous than I thought. The fact that he was having his retirement round at Pebble Beach after all the amazing wins at Pebble was amazing.”

Mark O’Meara is a five-time champion at Pebble Beach.
