Today, Danielle Nash is answering our 10 question format in our Get to Know Your Pro Series.
Danielle Nash is a Teaching Professional here at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, CA.
Danielle’s approach to teaching students varies depending on the person; no player is the same. She believes the talent is in the player, and she wants to help educate students on why they do what they do. Teaching the fundamentals and taking the time to listen to the student is very important to her. She is a firm believer in practice with a purpose, using drills to keep the game exciting. Danielle’s experience as an amateur player taught her the value of a strong mental game, and the importance of strength and flexibility. Whether you’re just starting to play the game or you’re a bit more advanced, Danielle wants to help you reach your goals.
Here we go with our 10 questions for Danielle.
B: If golf had a walkup song to the 1st tee, like in baseball, what would be yours and why?
D: Led Zepplin, Moby Dick I’m a big John Bonham fan. Love the drums.
B: First golf club you ever bought?
D: My dad bought me the Ping Eye 2’s. I was around 11 or 12, before that I was using hand-me-down clubs.
B: Who taught you how to golf?
D: Myself, really. My mom inspired me to keep playing.
B: How many pairs of golf shoes do you own?
D: Too many. I have a lot… counting … Footjoys, 2 Bions, 2 Nikes, a pair of Adidas, Pumas that I love…

DS: That’s 12..
D: and um well I just donated five pair…
B: Lowest round ever shot?
D: 66 on a par 68 at Claremont Country Club.
B: What is your least favorite thing to do on a golf course?
D: My least favorite thing? Wait too long because you can’t get into a rhythm.
B: Favorite Golfers?
D: Tiger Woods, Seve Ballesteros, Annika Sorenstam and Lorena Ochoa. I really like Jordan Spieth, too.
B: Favorite Course to Play?
D: San Francisco Club.
B: Who’s swing would you like to have and why?
D: Dave Stockly’s. (laughs) Can I say that?
B: Sure. You can choose whomever you’d like. Why Dave’s?
D: He has a beautiful golf swing and awesome short game.
B: Favorite club in your bag?
D: 58 degree SM6 Vokey Wedge. Well, it’s a toss up between that and my putter.
B:If you weren’t a golf professional, what would you be doing for a living?
D: I would be a carpenter/interior designer.
