Let’s start with the course! Did you know that Haggin Oaks has two separate golf courses?
Alister MacKenzie 18 Hole Course
The MacKenzie Golf Course is, without a doubt, the player’s course at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. Designed by the mastermind behind Augusta National and measuring a respectable 7030-yards from the back tees, this 89-year-old track, originally designed by world-renowned architect, Alister MacKenzie, is a true test of golf for the low handicapper.
*A golf handicap is the difference between the total golf course rating and the average number of strokes a golfer plays in about 10 games. If you have a high handicap, you need more than the suggested number of strokes (par) to finish the golf course. Scratch golfers have a handicap of zero. That means they finish the course or hole on par.
Arcade Creek 9 Hole Course
The Arcade Creek Golf Course is a relatively flat layout designed and built to be friendly to every skill level. The front nine was opened to the public in 1957 with the back nine opening in 1958. The course can still be played as either a nine-hole track or 18-hole regulation round which makes it ideal for beginners, walkers, and leagues.
Each course has its own practice green adjacent to the first holes. Putting practice is free and doesn’t require a reservation!
Next, let’s dive into our retail shops! We have two separate shops on site. Our Pro Shop includes booking tee times, club repair, and grip installation, as well as hosting our shoes. Our Super Shop includes all your other retail needs, as well as houses our lessons and custom club fitting appointment desk.

The Pavilion
Great for any time of year, this beautiful white tent is nestled between the 17th fairway and 18th green on the championship Allister Mackenzie Golf Course. With drapery and dimmed wrought iron chandeliers, this space showcases elegance as soon as you walk in. Make your way through the back doors into our lush garden area where guests enjoy cocktails under our white gazebo or sit underneath our 150-year old Heritage Oak tree.
Creekside Landing
Similar to the Pavilion, this smaller white tent with drapery and wrought iron chandeliers is located on the first tee of the Arcade Creek Golf Course. Overlooking the first fairway, this venue is perfect for your next celebration!

MacKenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille is a North Sacramento restaurant offering a casual dining experience indoors and out for family and friends looking to enjoy a good meal or grabbing a local craft brew on tap or something else from the full-service bar.

The Hangout Food Truck
The food truck is now open for business at its permanent location on the driving range. The Hangout offers a wide variety of delicious made-to-order menu items. As well as an extensive drink menu. Outdoor seating is available with covered shade.

Driving Range
The Haggin Oaks night-lighted driving range & learning center consists of 100 hitting stalls. There are two sides to the range the front side and the backside. The back is accessible by the dirt path on the far left end of the range.
Toptracer Range technology allows golfers to track every shot and receive instant feedback through the touch screen monitor and Toptracer App.
All you need to do is purchase a bucket of balls from the ball dispenser or the range cashier, find an open stall, and start swinging!
