Join us on Friday, September 20 for our National Mini Golf Day Celebration during Beer, BBQ and Balls. A great evening out for the family, and an excuse to sharpen up your putting skills all in one fun package.
You may not realize that miniature golf has a long history that dates back to the 1800â˛s, even though they did not begin to pop up in America until the early 20th century. During the Romantic Era in Scotland, the Ladiesâ Putting Club had a mini golf course in St. Andrews â an 18-hole putting green exclusively for women.
In 1916, James Barbar of North Carolina designed âThistle Dhu,â the first quintessential mini golf course.
The Great Depression is credited for the growth and popularity of mini golf in America at a time when a game of putt-putt cost less than going to see a movie. Miniature golf continued to grow steadily in popularity during the Depression and beyond.
Our MacKenzie Putting Course is destined to become a favorite with adults and children alike! This is no ordinary mini golf course and it isnât a simple putting green either. The NEW MacKenzie Putting Course features water hazards, sand traps and sneaky breaks that will challenge even the most seasoned putting professionals.
Our chef will be firing up the grill every weekend during Beer, BBQ and Balls. Weâll be serving our 1/3 Pound Burger with American cheese, tomato, pickle, onions and lettuce, 1/4 Pound All-Beef Hot Dog, served with all the fixings, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with bbq sauce, topped with coleslaw served on a toasted bun, and a Grilled Marinated Chicken Sandwich.
Each week we feature drink specials, Bud light on draft for $2.50 and a selected premium beer for $3.50 . We also offer our house wine; Chardonnay and Merlot for $3.50 a glass.
