Another successful and sold out KNCI Golf & Guitars Music Festival came and went on May 21 and 22 and fundraised an estimated amount of $100,000 for charity. Since the inception of the event, the festival has now raised over one million dollars.
What a whirlwind! 3,500 people attended and over 30 artists performed over the 2-day event. The weather was perfect for our talented musical guests who golfed as a fundraising effort for their charity of choice. (For more information on the charities who benefited from this year’s Golf & Guitars, here is a list on the Morton Golf Foundation website.)
Golf & Guitars is a combined effort of the Morton Golf Foundation, The Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, and KNCI 105.1 FM. Ken Morton Jr., who has been coordinating and making Golf & Guitars happen for over a decade, said about this year’s event,
“It’s hard to imagine that when we started this little concert 11 years ago, it would expand into an incredible music festival filled with a couple dozen incredibly talented artists each year and cross the million dollar threshold for money raised for dozens of different worth children’s and disabled charities. The support of the community has been nothing short of amazing, and we cannot stress how genuinely thankful we are for such wonderful enthusiastic care all of our attendees have given over the years.”
And just in case you missed it, here’s a video wrap-up of the concert day from start to finish! We hope to see you at next year’s Golf & Guitars!
