Mary Burroughs is a dedicated volunteer at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, where she takes on the roles of greeter and rover at the Mackenzie Golf Course.
Mary devotes her time on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings to warmly welcome guests to the golf course. Mary recently returned to Sacramento after retiring in Baja, California, Mexico, four years ago. She describes her experience of volunteering at Haggin Oaks as wonderful and fulfilling, especially because she gets to be around golfers and the game of golf, which she enjoys.
Mary’s connection to Morton Golf is extensive, with a history that includes her publication, Golf & Lifestyle Magazine. In her role as a publisher, she produced numerous articles and interviews featuring the Morton family, course reviews, and articles on spring and fall fashion related to golf. She successfully ran Golf & Lifestyle Magazine for a decade before LuxLife Media acquired the publication.
Apart from her passion for golf and volunteering, Mary also is an artist. She enjoys creating unique mosaics, paintings, and original black and white photographs, showcasing her artistic talents.
Overall, Mary is a valuable asset to Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and the Morton Golf Family, contributing her time, skills, and enthusiasm to the golf community in Sacramento.
