The new TaylorMade Milled Grind 2 Wedges pack a punch with their new raw face!
Although raw wedges definitely aren’t new to the industry, TaylorMade added a unique twist to their wedge by only making the actual face of the club raw.
The reason they did this is because of rust.
All raw clubs rust as a result of the metal oxidizing from exposure and this leads to a club that looks terrible in your bag. However, because the Milled grind 2 Wedge only has a raw face, only that rusts, giving you a club with all the benefits of a raw wedge without the drab look in your bag.
The reason a raw face is so desireable and actually used by a majority of the pros is because of the feel and spin that it adds to the ball. These two things are unmatched when comparing raw faces to regular wedges.
And, as the club rusts it actually gives the ball more spin due to the added friction that the rusts create because of its unsteady surfaces.
This club comes in two finishes for the clubhead. Matte black and chrome so whether you are more of traditionalist or like more of the modern looks, you can get exactly what you want in your bag.
Ultimately this wedge is the perfect wedge for the avid golfer that wants to take their short game up a notch and use the same type of wedge as the pros.
