Nick Wallace is the newest member of the FootGolf National Team
Many of you know Nick Wallace as the beloved softgoods salesman inside the Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop. Recently, Nick qualified to compete for the 2016 World Cup Title which will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in January 2016. Nick recently launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help raise support and funds to help him achieve his dream of representing the United States in Argentina.

You may be asking yourself, “What is footGolf”? FootGolf is a hybrid sport of soccer and golf. For those that know me, know that I love both sports. So when FootGolf was introduced to Northern California in 2013, I fell in love with this sport right away. Who would believe it would take me this far?!
As the competetive person that I am, I wanted to play at the highest level. I began playing for the California FootGolf Club/League traveling around the state for multiple tournaments. I have also worked hard all year preparing for the AFGL Pro-Am Tournaments on the West Coast in Tacoma & Sacramento. In each of these events, the top three Americans qualify for the U.S. National Team. Despite all of my hard work and training, I came short of reaching my goal of making the team. My last chance was at the FootGolf Nationals in Chicago this past October.
Overcoming injuries (pulled groin) and inclement weather (30mph winds, 50 degree weather), I succeeded in making my dream come true by qualifying for the U.S. National Team!
Please help me in this final phase of my journey in raising funds to get to Argentina to compete in the World Cup. Although the AFGL is covering for some of the costs, the trip is going to be very expensive and it’s only three months away! I am looking for sponsors and donations to help me and my family make this once in a lifetime trip a reality.
