Play Golf America Day is scheduled Friday, May 3, at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. It is one of only two sites in Northern California hosting a Play Golf America Day.
The PGA of America’s objective for the day is to introduce new players to the game in a “fun” and “non-intimidating manner” while also encouraging former players to dust off their clubs and return to the sport.
Open and FREE to the public, the PGA Play Golf America Day will be packed with activities for golfers of all ages from 6 p.m until 9 pm. Wilson Golf will distribute a free golf club to the first several hundred new golfers attending the event.
Teaching professionals will conduct FREE Putting, Chipping and Full Swing lessons and there will be skills stations set up to either learn or improve your golf game. Bring your clubs or try your new Wilson club on the driving range with FREE range balls from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m too.
In addition, attendees can also learn more about the group golf classes that are offered at Haggin Oaks, including Welcome to Golf, Get Golf Ready 1 and 2, “It’s OK to Play!” and Practice Makes Perfect. For more information, call 916-808-2531.
