On Easter Sunday, the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex hosted its Easter Egg Hunt and FREE Pancake Breakfast and the turn-out was spectacular! This marked the 14th year that Morton Golf has hosted the event and there were over 1000 children who came out to collect over 4000 candy and prize filled eggs!
Volunteers from the Morton Golf Foundation arrived early to hide the many eggs that were hidden for each age group. The event was free for children 0-10 to participate. We had over 250 prize-filled eggs hidden as well. These eggs contained prizes for stuffed animals, backpacks and an assortment of golf clubs.
It wouldn’t be Easter without the Easter Bunny who made his appearance and charmed hundreds of children.
Our own Ken Morton, Jr. shared this fun day with his two youngest children, Carson and Heather.
These girls were picked to appear on the “Red Carpet” when Good Day Sacramento came out to cover the event.

I had no idea what I was doing, but it was a fun experience that I won’t soon forget. I am sure 60 Minutes will be calling to utilize my hard-hitting reporter skills any day now.
That’s me interviewing the Easter Bunny (who didn’t talk much) and the real stars of the day – each of the adorable kids who guest starred on the red carpet for our Easter Fashion Show!
We had hundreds of kids and their families on hand for this beautiful Easter Sunday.
After the hunt, many of the kids went to the driving range to hit a few balls with their new golf clubs
Our FREE pancake breakfast started at 9:30am where Chef Blanca and her team served up pancakes to all the children and their families.
Before the egg hunt, several families brought their clubs and bought some range balls to hit a few out on the driving range. The driving range is a great place to bring the family. Also, Haggin Oaks is a great golf course to bring the kids! In 2012, juniors with a Junior Play Card play FREE with any paying adult. Click

The egg hunt started at 11:00am SHARP and within 24 seconds, all 4200+ eggs had been picked clean!
With Mix 96, the Easter Bunny, over 250 prizes, a face painter, free pancakes and more – the Haggin Oaks Golf Course was THE place to be on Easter Sunday!
Our face painter did a fabulous job turning many of the girls into bunnies and tigers. I saw several little boys running around with Batman and Spiderman faces. She was great and the kids loved her!
Is that Batman with our own Kelli Corlett, Morton Golf’s Junior & Disabled Golf Program Director?

After: Heather has beautiful butterflies on her cheeks and arm. She was a very proud and happy little girl!
The Easter Egg Hunt and FREE Pancake Breakfast was a fun filled event for friends and family of all ages. Please join us again next year!
