The Sacramento Division 1 High School Boys Golf Section results at the Haggin Oaks Alister MacKenzie Course were nothing short of impressive. The top six teams and nine individuals advancing to the area Masters tournament showcased some truly outstanding talent.
Granite Bay took the top spot with a score of 367, closely followed by Jesuit with 373, and Rocklin with 375. Lodi came in fourth with a score of 382, while Oak Ridge and St. Mary’s tied for fifth with a score of 390.
The individual competition was just as fierce, with Luke Price from Rocklin, Cobus Brakkee from Tracy, and Kasey Gaff from St. Mary’s of Stockton all scoring an impressive 70. Matthew Miyamoto from Jesuit was not far behind, with a score of 71, while Ryan Firpo from Davis and Luke Dariotis from Jesuit both scored 72.
The top nine individuals advancing to Masters who were not on the advancing teams included some truly exceptional golfers. Cobus Brakkee from Tracy, Ryan Firpo from Davis, and Akira Ransi from Folsom all scored in the 70s, while Andriel Ingram from Del Oro, Ekam Singh from Pleasant Grove, Michael Sorber from Folsom, Ethan Jackson from Whitney, and Nick Tisdale from Whitney all scored in the 70s or 80s.
Overall, the Section 1 golf results at Haggin Oaks Division I Sections were a testament to the hard work and dedication of these high school golfers. We wish them all the best of luck as they move on to the Master’s competition.
