Six of Sacramento Region’s finest young golfers have been selected to play at Pebble Beach. An exciting moment in their lives, Virgie Velazquez (Roseville), Tarah Kubes (Shingle Springs), Chad Kubes (Shingle Springs), John Burke (Sacramento), Jeffrey Inouye-Wong (Roseville), and Louie Euer (Loomis) are six of the 81 participants that have been selected to play in the 10th Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.
The teens were selected by a national panel of judges based on several factors including the young golfer’s playing ability, comprehension of the life skills and character learned through their involvement with The First Tee and an essay submitted by each player. Each Junior will play Pebble Beach with a legend of the game from the Champions Tour as their mentor. An experience of a lifetime for the juniors selected and a proud moment for all of Sacramento to watch six representing The First Tee of Greater Sacramento.
Watch our junior golfers play on the Golf Channel tomorrow September 28 and Sunday September 29, 2013.
