For the past 13 years Morton Golf Foundation has been a sponsor of the Special Olympics Golf Regionals.
This year nearly 400 Special Olympics athletes gathered to participate in the Special Olympics Golf Regionals. They arrived early all full of enthusiasm & energy for a great morning at Haggin Oaks.
The weather was another beautiful sunny day of low 80’s which was especially ordered for the athletes.
Several athletes competed with their golf skills at the back of the range while other athletes tested their skills on the course. Everyone met back in the white Pavilion tent to find out how each athlete did as everyone went home with a medal.
The Special Olympics Athletes came from all over Northern California & Nevada with the furthest TEAM coming from Tulare.
The athletes ended their day of fun, satisfied with the huge burgers served at lunch & knowing they will continue to see their friends on the course.
Morton Golf Foundation looks forward to seeing them next September at this event when we can do it all over again.
