Over 150 families attended the free, family-friendly Halloween event over the weekend
Last Saturday, Haggin Oaks hosted its annual Halloween trick-or-treat event. The event was organized under the guidance of Brandy Legay, Haggin Oaks Food & Beverage Assistant Manager. For the second year in a row, kids and families went trick or treating across Haggin Oaks under sunny skies.
“Trick or Treat!” could be heard far and wide over the golf course. Morton Golf Foundation volunteer were stationed at 10 spots around the course hand out candy to the ghosts and goblins.
In addition to candy, each station had activities for guests. Families could stop and relax, having fun before moving on to the next site.
The fun started with 9-holes of free mini-golf on the MacKenzie Putting Course. Then the families proceeded to a coloring station with Halloween illustrations. There were several putting challenges set up throughout the path, letting kids play to win extra candy. Finally, there were 4 “very scary” decorated golf carts for families to take photos with.
It was fun to see how creative the families were with their costume selections. Super heroes costumes definitely won the award for most popular this year!
As the afternoon ended, families were buzzing with ideas about what their costumes will be next year.
Happy Halloween & we hope all kids get some great trick-or-treating tonight!
