TaylorMade recently launched the new P770 irons and, like the entire P line, they are an absolutely beautiful club.
Described as a P790 in a smaller package, these clubs are a great alternative to the P770 if you want that same workability, with a bit more forgiveness.
As a player’s iron the P770 is built for the more skilled golfer and tour players to give them the smooth feel that they love as well as control and workability around the course.
With almost all the same features as the P790 such as a forged face and body as well as injected speed foam in the face, this club is just a bit smaller with “softer” features that include:
- A thinner topline for a more sleek appeal from address.
- A shorter blade length for that more compact look and feel.
- slightly more of an offset
- And lofts that are .5 – 1 degree lower giving you a bit less launch and distance.
Available in 3 – PW with an A-wedge available as well. Due to the similarity among all irons the P-series, it can also be mixed and matched with the P7MC, P7MB, SIM UDI, and SIM DHY.
Overall, these irons are great for the more skilled golfer who wants a lower profile club that still delivers incredible performance.
