Dave Franzoia has been a volunteer Greeter on Hole #1 of Bing Maloney Golf Course since June 2012.
Before Dave came to volunteer at Bing Maloney Golf Course, he was an Elementary School Teacher in the Folsom/Cordova Unified School District for 38 years.
Dave started playing the game of golf in December 1961. He got interested in the game because his dad played.
He remembers when he was in the 7th grade he would be dropped off at William Land Golf Course and could play 9-holes of golf for 25 cents.
An interesting highlight in Dave’s life so far is being able to coach several junior players.
After being a School Teacher for 38 years it’s a privilege to get invited back to see my former students’ biggest achievements.
When Dave is not volunteering at Bing Maloney Golf Course he and his wife can be seen playing pickleball, going birding, or traveling. When they travel they enjoy trying foods from around the world.
Thanks, Dave for your continual smile and the positive attitude you give to everyone playing golf at Bing Maloney Golf Course.
