Doug King has been a Volunteer Player Assistant at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex for the past 14 years.
He was born in Rochester, MN, and moved to Sacramento at the young age of 12.
He started playing the game of golf in 1952 when he was in High School and is self-taught.
Doug has had 7 Hole-In-Oneâs in his golf career. When Doug was asked if it is luck or skill to get a Hole-In-One he answered, âbothâ.
Doug is 83 years old and while playing golf he beat his age by 13 strokes when he shot a score of 70.
Dougâs favorite course at Haggin Oaks is MacKenzie Golf Course. He can be seen on the #1 tee or on the driving range any day of the week.
