Volunteer Profile: Ed St. Amour

Ed has been a Player Assistant at Haggin Oaks for the past 8 years.

In April 2014, Ed St. Amour told his boss he was retiring from his job in the Petroleum Industry after 51 years and he came right to Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and signed up as a Volunteer to be a Player Assistant. 

Ed St. Amour was born in Detroit, MI, and moved to Sacramento at the young age of 10.

He received a BS Business Degree from Sac State in 1962 and that same year started his job in the Petroleum Industry.

At the company that Ed worked for he was known to play in several company golf outings. Ed represented the company with the attitude of “Working Hard and Playing Hard”.

Ed can be seen any day at Haggin Oaks either on the golf course playing or participating as a volunteer at several of the events throughout the year.

Ed grew up playing golf at Haggin Oaks and is still here today.
