Life Father Like Son, Sutherland Wins 57th Sacramento County Amateur
Matthew Sutherland of Carmichael made a five-foot birdie on the final hole to win the 57th Annual Sacramento County Men’s Championship by one stroke over Sam Sommerhauser of Rocklin and Taylor Knoll of Rancho Cordova at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course in Sacramento.
Wotherspoon qualifies for NCGA Amateur
Matt Wotherspoon of Buckingham shot an even-par 72 on Saturday in the searing heat of Sacramento to punch his ticket into the 118th annual Northern California Golf Association Amateur Championship next month at Spyglass Hill Golf Club.
