Will The Callaway Mavrik Driver Take The Seat As The New #1 Best Seller?

The New Callaway Mavrik Driver is out with bold promises, model options, and an all new color scheme.

This new driver takes the features of the previous Epic Flash Driver and expands upon them to make an even better second iteration, but will be able to keep up with its younger sibling?

Let’s take a look at this new driver.

We’ll start off by focusing on the features that all the models have in common.

The first and most notable is the AI designed face.

Similar to last year’s model, the Callaway Mavrik Driver has a new, thinner SS20 face that is designed by artificial intelligence and covers a more expansive area to increase overall consistency.

This driver also incorporates jailbreak technology right behind the face to increase that trampoline effect on the face.

For those of you who don’t know about jailbreak technology, it consists of two titanium bars placed right behind the face of the club that connect the crown the sole and ultimately increase the bounce off the face, giving you more distance.

The crown is made of Triaxial carbon fabric which promotes higher MOI (more on that here) for better distance and accuracy on mis-hits.

Another task that the team at Callaway put their new supercomputer friend up to is to make the sound of the driver sound better, even on miss-hits.

The result is new Acoustic A.I. design features that consist of an internal titanium rib system that has created incredible sound and feel.

Lastly, all the models of the Callaway Mavrik Driver have a high-strength FS2S Titanium face that allows for optimal speed, forgiveness, and spin performance.

Overall, these drivers come jam-packed with cool features, design elements, and materials… But it doesn’t stop there.

The Callaway Mavrik comes in three different options; the Mavrik Driver, The Mavrik Max Driver, and the Mavrik Subzero Driver each designed for a different type of golfer.

Callaway MAVRIK Driver

The Callaway Mavrik Driver is the base model of this new line with a 460 cc head and tungsten weight in the back to bring down the MOI and CG to increase forgiveness and launch.

This driver is a great option for beginner to intermediate players with slower swing speeds.

It comes in left and right-handed options with loft options of 9.0, 10.5, 12.0.

Mavrik Sub Zero Driver

The Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero Driver is designed for players that like to have a bit more versatility with lower spin and launch, as well as a neutral bias.

This club has a 450 cc head with two adjustable tungsten weights. One in the back of the club and one in the front. One weight is 14g and the other is 2g which you can move to whichever position you would like depending on whether you want more workability of forgiveness.

This driver comes in right and left-handed options in 9 and 10.5 lofts.

This model is designed to equip golfers with a rare, powerful combination of low spin and high MOI

MAVRIK MAX Driver

The Mavrik Max Driver is built for the player that wants max forgiveness and to combat a slice.

With a 460 cc head and two tungsten weights positions at the back and the heel, this driver creates high MOI, high launch and a draw bias to help you get rid of that nasty slice once and for all.

This model has right and left-handed options and is available in lofts of 9.0, 10.5, and 12.0.

Overall, the new Callaway Mavrik Driver line seems like it has great potential. Only time and testing will tell if it is enough to defeat the Epic Flash Driver and be the #1 driver of 2020!
