Dan has been a PGA Member for 43 years. He grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and began playing golf with his father at the age of ten. After playing in high school he went on to play college golf for The University of San Francisco. He entered the PGA of America Apprentice Program in Santa Cruz and earned his Class âAâ status. While serving as an assistant, head professional, general manager and golf course owner, his passion for the game of golf led to an increased knowledge of skills as a player and instructor.
While now specializing in teaching senior golfers, beginners and small groups, Dan believes that focusing on fundamentals, learning to be your own coach and developing adequate practice routines will maximize one’s improvement over time. Each individual arrives with their own skill set and it’s up to the instructor to recognize and promote inherent qualities. Lastly, he understands the importance that enjoyment and fun plays in productive lessons and continued improvement in the great game of golf.
