Congratulations to Nikki as She Wraps up Her Dominant High School Golf Career
Nikki Chindavong is a talented golfer who is finally wrapping up an incredibly successful high school career. Nikki is a First Tee member who has won many competitions at both the junior and prep levels throughout her golf career. At Rodriguez High School, she played at the varsity’s No. 1 position in each of her high school seasons and is a two-time Monticello Empire League (MEL) medalist (2019, 2021). On the junior circuit, Chindavong has captured multiple titles, including the girl’s 14-15 division of the Johnny Miller “Champ” Classic and the 15-18 division of the U.S. Kids Golf Teen Series, during the summer of 2021.
Last Saturday, May 27th, 2023, Haggin Oaks hosted the JGANC World Qualifier. Nikki Chindavong, MGF Jr Grant & MGF Â Scholarship Winner won her age division of 15-18-year-old girls and scored 69. This means she will go on to compete in the IGM Junior World competition. Torrey Pines North Course in San Diego will host the Junior World Event from July 11-13.Â
Post High School Career
Nikki will be attending the University of Nevada -Reno this fall & playing on their Womenâs Golf Team. She signed a national letter-of-intent with the University of Nevada, head coach Kathleen Takaishi announced in a report by University of Nevada Athletics at nevadawolfpack.com on Nov. 9. Chindavong was selected All-Monticello Empire League all four years and won MEL titles in 2019 and 2021. âWe are excited to welcome Nikki to the Wolf Pack Family,â Takaishi said in the report at nevadawolfpack.com. âNikki brings a positive attitude, good work ethic, and competitiveness that will continue to help make our program better. She will make an immediate impact on our team.â
